With an unusual name and discreet signage, Poepke is not the easiest shop to find, but the search is worth your while. What began in 2001 with a focus on Belgian design has evolved into a more expansive selection of international and local pieces, curated by directors Nicola Lie and Juliet Kember. Poepke presents a colourful and carefully considered range of clothing in intimate surroundings, with our knowledgable staff on hand to guide you.
In addition to the eclectic choice of labels we represent, Poepke continues to pursue new ways of invigorating who we are and what we do. Our biannual Archives pop-up is an edited collection of past season pieces. Featuring labels that Poepke has carried, Archives offers the opportunity to discover that dress or coat you didn't buy in season but have never stopped thinking about, or to pass on your own pre-loved pieces. While Archives recalls the past, Projects at Poepke looks towards the future. In each two month long Project, we invite emerging Australian designers to showcase installations, profiles and comprehensive ranges of their new work, which we feature in-store and online.
