Cordera was founded in 2008 with a clear commitment to creating a project with ethical values that they endeavour to share; not only with their suppliers, but also with their customers.
The studio, created and staffed entirely by women, has always been committed to the creation of quality jobs, which is why Cordera puts people at the center of every project or collaboration.
Each Cordera collection carries behind it painstaking and intensive work in the search for the most suitable materials. Every decision and step they take must go hand in hand with the values, ethics and quality standards that Cordera proudly stands for.
Cordera believes that animals are just as important as people and only use wool certified as Mulesing Free, as well as raw materials belonging to the International Alpaca Association, which ensures the economic, environmental and social sustainability of the alpaca with ethical practices among producers.
Cordera has certifications that support their commitment to quality materials and ethical origin, such as BCI Cotton, Organic Cotton, Museling Free Wool, Ecotec Cotton and Ecotec Polyester, Organic Linen, Ecovero Viscose, Responsible Alpaca Standard or Cruelty Free Silk. They are also committed to the use of recycled cashmere.
