Dancing with Broad Shoulders. Lauren Brincat 2025. Silk, Japanese Indigo, Upcycyed Dyed Nylon, Cotton

We often say, “Would you like me to pop that in the change room?” but what we’re really saying is this:
I hope that when you try this on, it helps you feel like the person you want to be—or the person you already are, highlighted in neon pink! May it give you the confidence to step into the best version of yourself, or simply let the garment be your costume for the day. No one truly needs new garments, but these are forever pieces. What you buy might one day end up on your daughter, your best friend, or your mum. We all take turns wearing them.
So much happens in the change room—it’s where we talk about our lives, our families, and, yes, sometimes our arms! It’s like therapy, but with the reward at the end: the pleasure of finding that perfect piece that makes you feel confident and good.
It’s like stepping onto a stage, where you change into something that brings out a new version of you. It’s not just about trying on a new piece of clothing—a perfect white T-shirt with just the right length of sleeve, or a dress with pockets—it’s a bit of theatre, where the right garment releases the best version of yourself.
